After snooping around on Emma Watson’s (Hermione from Harry Potter) IMDb page, I found out that she appeared in the music video with the British indie band One Night Only. It’s rumored that she’s dating the lead singer, but apparently they’re just good friends. Anyway, I looked up the video and it’s actually pretty cute. They do this whole “Lady and the Tramp” theme where the girl is alone and lost in the big city and the guy finds her and takes her out. Not only is the video real cute, but the song is fantastic. A lot of the lyrics are similar to each other, but it’s still good and has an awesome beat. Every time I hear it, it makes me think of New York, which makes me sad. I miss it so much! I think it’d be great to live in New York and have a little apartment close to Times Square, but I doubt that’ll ever happen. It’s nice to dream, though. ♥

just give them girls on trampolines!

So this weekend, I went to a Ludo concert in Columbia with my brother and sister-in-law. It was on the Mizzou campus, so we were surrounded by all these new college kids and I ended up seeing a few people there from my high school and even someone from one of the Parkway schools. You know you’re from St. Louis when the question about which high school you went to pops up. The two opening acts were FDR’s Revenge and Without a Face. The first was mostly rock/funk and the second was a guy on an acoustic guitar. They both had tons of energy and their music was really fun to listen to. The second guy had really clever and funny songs like “Lactose Intolerance” and a song about hardcore drugs. Finally, Ludo came on and just shined with energy. Except for their new songs on their upcoming album, I was happy to discover I knew the words to most of their songs. Their new album Prepare the Preparations is coming out in September and I am definitely buying it, and you should, too. After the

I have to blog about my cat. For anyone that knows me well knows that Tiggher is my baby. I’ve had her since I was 11 and the only time we’ve been separated for a long period of time was when I left for college. Every time I come home from anything, she comes prancing up to me, waving her tail, and meowing like she’s been alone for days. Some would think her meow sounds angry, but really she’s just pathetic. She’s a lover cat all the way; she loves attention, especially from me. Like any animal, she has her own little quirks. She never drinks water straight out of the bowl, she always dips in her paw and licks the water off of her paw. Sometimes she’ll splash the water out of the bowl, or just knock over the bowl. When she was younger, she never played with any cat toys. She preferred the plastic rings from milk cartons. She doesn’t play as often as she used to, but she still likes them. We’ve found so many rings underneath the couches and refrigerators when we move. She also chews on

so today…

I started a blog, as you can see. A good friend at college told me it was a good way to keep writing and find more things to write about, which is what I want. As much as I love music, I think I would prefer writing as a career. I wanted to go into freelance writing back in high school, but I changed my mind when I got into music and theatre. Now that I’m almost halfway through college, I’m thinking I should try writing again. I’ve never really considered journalism; I like writing poems and short stories. The problem is that I’m not good at coming up with plots and ideas. I figured the more I wrote and the more I’m taught, I can learn ways to think of great story ideas. I guess we’ll see how that pans out. Starting out, I can’t promise that this blog will be particularly interesting, but I’ll try my hardest. If I can keep up with frequent Twitter updates, hopefully I should come up with good things to share here. I’m actually in the process of writing a fan fiction from Harry Potte
